Lilly wollte so gern rodeln gehen!!

Last Tuesday was the beginning of spring. Or so I was told. The weather is crazy! Nonetheless this crazy weather gave Lilly and me a chance that we had been waiting for for almost 2 years! Lilly wanted to go sledging!! But without snow, it was not an easy wish to fulfil. I also asked her, if I should built her a snow landscape out of styrofoam inside so that she could test her sledge there. But she did not like that idea. She wanted real snow! On Tuesday snow was predicted. Several times over the last years, whenever this was the case, Lilly joined me and we would wait for her moment. Around noon last week we took off to the Tiergarten (a big park, some say the green lung of Berlin) in Berlin. “Quick, lets go!”, she said and ran of, pulling her sledge behind her. The Tiergarten and the city were covered in fluffy, soft snow. Beautiful! Lilly had a huge grin on her face and climbed the first hill she saw. Soon after, she jumped on her sledge and took off, down the hill. She was squeaking with joy at every little bump that lifted the sledge a bit. I was waiting at the bottom and she beamed at me. “Again!”, she said and how could I refuse her!?
