Was steckt so an Aufwand hinter einem Bild, einer Idee? Heute möchte ich euch zeigen wie ein paar Einzelteile meiner kleinen Pilotin entstanden sind.

Beginnen wir mit der Lederjacke. Inspiriert durch Fraukes Jacke für Harrison habe ich mir dafür schwarzes Kunstleder besorgt und einfach mal drauf los gezeichnet. Aus vielen Einzelteilen entstand damit die Jacke sowie die Haube.

What’s behind a picture, an idea? Today I would like to show you some details of my little pilot.

Let’s start with the leather jacket. Inspired by Frauke’s jacket for Harrison, I bought some black faux leather and just drafted some lines. With quite a few seperate parts I finished the jacket as well as the cap.

Der nächste Teil wurde schwieriger und ich brauchte Hilfe dabei. Wie baue ich einen Doppeldecker? In meinem Kopf sah er toll aus, aber würde er das auch werden? Mein Bruder war so lieb und half mir beim Ausschneiden aus der Büchse. Als gelernter Metallbauer war das ein Kinderspiel für ihn.

The next part was more difficult and I needed help. How could one construct a biplane? In my imagination it looked splendid, but could it be done? My brother kindly helped me and made the necessary cuts. For him, as a skilled sheet metal worker, it was a piece of cake.

Nachdem also mein Doppeldecker schonmal einen Sitzbereich hatte und eine Schraube für den Propeller, machte ich mich daran die Details aus Pappe, Papier und Folie zu fertigen. Heißkleber fixierte alles und der kleine Doppeldecker war fertig!

Since my little biplane had a seat-aera and a screw for the propeller, I started planning the details. I used paper, cardboard and foil for it. Hot glue helped me to get everything together and the little biplane was complete!
